Research Experience

• REDX, MIT Health Technology Camp 2015
  - I was part of MIT INDIA smart toilet initiative presented in ReDx 2015 camp byIndian Institute of Technology Bombay and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. We a team of around eight students and with instructors named Yaniv Turgeman, Mariana Matus and Manasi Vartak, built a robot which automatically separates samples of water (tested on water). Whole team was given with design problem and everyones's solutions were taken into consideration and after few changes finalized design was checked for critical constraints and printed using the 3D printers. I was responsible for the control system and sensor system development on samples processing.

• Summer research intern at TATA Motors
  -Modelled and designed Exhaust Gas Recirculation control strategies for Bharat Stage III platform. Implemented Learning Strategies on Embedded Platform for decision making in Electronic Control Units of Vehicles and also demonstrated in simulink. After demonstration stage was complete then embedded code for the respective ECU was generated and burned in the mcu. The working of the testing strategies were checked on realtime test rigs. advisor: Ms. Vrushali Navale and Mr. Sourav Shah.
  
  
• LetpicEnhance Learning to estimate transient parameters in computational digital photography for image enhancement.
  -I developed a system to determine camera parameters to capture a perfect image of fast moving object using learning techniques and proposed the concept of camera behavioural entity. To develop a system which will automatically determine camera parameters such as ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed, exposure using the learning techniques.The system will be specially developed for capturing the perfect image of fast moving objects.

Projects Undertaken

• IoT based Solar tracking panel mechanism system using TIVA ARM Cortex along with local trouble shooter.
  - Basic idea of project is to make system which will change the orientation of the solar panel according to the location of sun so that there will be maximum utilization of solar power.Presently available solar panel have limited predefined rotation in only 0 to 180 degrees rotation.But here the system is not limited only to track sun presence and changing the orientation of solar panels according to it, the system is also checking for weather information such as sunny or cloudy condition of atmosphere and also the temperature of the surrounding. Also it will take decision such as whether the atmosphere is cold or warm. Depending on the decision it will notify user at some point that what he needs for his whole day.

• Redesigned the UNIX files system V6 to increase system memory limits using system calls.
  - Responsible for redesigning the existing Unix file system v6 to maximize the memory limits of the new file system using unused bit of Inode flags. I made a shell in which some basic commands like intifs, mkdir, cpin, cpiout, help, print, q(save and exit) were implemented on new file system. The project was implemented using basic system calls such as read, open and lseek unlike fopen which is library function used for opening and reading a file is made using system calls mentioned above.

• SURACSHA -Safety using road automated wireless communicating smart helmet application.
  -To design a safety notification system which will send all real time data such as heart rate, blood pressure, Respiration rate, GPS location when one met with the accident. This project won mest mini project award among all project developed at the electronics and computer engineering department of Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune.
  
  
• SEVAC - Smart and Efficient Vehicle for Automatic Cleaning
  - Developed a garbage detection and collecting vehicle which will automatically search for garbage and clean it in smarter way. This project was submitted to IEEE / IBM smarter planet challenge 2013. Here I was responsible for actuation mechanism development and code for garbage detection using Enhanced contour algorithm along with adaptive LMS noise filtration assisted with planar histogram for outdoor garbage detection.

• AGVS - Autonomous ground vehicle system
  - Developed autonomous navigation system using sensor array processing. This project was developed as a base model for all autonomous vehicle which will have some sensor data processing and decision making based on the algorithm. Also the project was award winner of best semester mini project in college.

• Design of DC motor driver using Mosfets with feedback control using incremental magnetic encoder circuit.
  - Designed and developed the dc motor driver and encoder reader was constructed using simple magnets and hall effect ics. This idea was implemented in PID control of DC motor.
